Registered Social Worker

Tracy obtained her Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSW) from Niagara University and her Masters of Social Work (MSW) from Dalhousie University. She is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She has completed training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Family Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy and has recently undergone training for Virtual Reality exposure therapy. Tracy has experience working with youth and adult clients who experience substance issues, mental health impairments, and disorders, and those who have sustained both non-catastrophic and catastrophic injuries including acquired brain injuries and poly-trauma. Tracy works from a supportive, integrative and holistic approach in her psychotherapy practice.

Alexandra is presently in private practice, providing Social Work and Psychotherapy to clients who struggle with mental health issues. She is experienced in treating individuals with Traumatic Brain Injuries, Chronic Pain, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, other various mental health issues. Alexandra is trained in providing Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy practices. She is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).

Registered Social Worker

Angela is a Registered Social Worker with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from McMaster University. Prior to this, she gained Certification as a Yoga Instructor and Reiki Practitioner. Angela continues to extend her academic and practical skills through continued education including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and energy healing work.  She has extensive clinical experience, supporting individuals at the North Hamilton Community Health Clinic as a licensed therapist, as well as front-line work with youth at risk of homelessness. At the Federal level, she has worked with women at the Grand Valley Institute in Kitchener. Angela is also an active member in good standing with both the Canadian and Ontario Associations of Social Workers.

Elyse McCreadie
Registered Social Worker 

Elyse is a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). Elyse has over eleven years of experience working with individuals with complex trauma.  This Includes neurodiverse populations, chemically dependent individuals (adolescents and adults), survivors of domestic violence, survivors of human trafficking, and adults with catastrophic injuries. She is versed in providing uniquely tailored therapeutic care with a combined approach using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Multisystemic Therapy (MST). She carries an additional role in Southern Ontario as a Clinician for at-risk youth.

Daria Petrovic
Registered Social Worker 

Daria obtained her Bachelors of Science (BSc) and Masters of Social Work (MSW) degrees from the University of Toronto. She has worked with a wide range of populations over the course of her career, including individuals living with a variety of mental health and medical diagnoses, adjustment disorders, as well as neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Her therapeutic approach draws upon evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Daria is passionate about developing collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationships with her clients, honouring the unique backgrounds and lived experiences of each individual. She is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)

Sarah McGilvray
Registered Social Worker

Ms. Sarah McGilvray obtained her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from Ryerson University. She has experience providing support to vulnerable children and adults and has engaged with diverse communities. She has worked with a range of populations, including individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, neurodevelopment disorders, as well those experiencing catastrophic and non-catastrophic injuries. Ms. McGilvray has experience treating individuals with Depression, Anxiety, Parkinson’s, Palliative and End Life Care, and other mental health issues. She also has experience working with individuals experiencing short-term and long-term memory loss, including Alzheimer’s and Dementia diagnoses.

Ms. McGilvray is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and is currenty completing her Master of Social Work at York University.

Mahum Ahmed
Registered Social Worker 

Ms. Mahum Ahmed is a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). She obtained a Master’s in Social Work degree from York University. Prior to this, she obtained a Bachelor of Social Work degree, with a minor in Psychology and Sociology from Ryerson University. She is experienced in treating individuals with Psycho-Social Disorders, Psychosis, Trauma, Addiction, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health issues. In addition, she offers a wide range of therapeutic modalities Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solutions-Focused Therapy. Most recently she completed a certificate from Wilfrid Laurier University in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She currently works with Critical Trauma Therapy as a Social Worker. Mahum is passionate about community mental health awareness and empowering individuals towards a fulfilling future.

Alexandra Sim
Registered Social Worker 

Ms. Alexandra Sim is a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). She obtained a Master’s in Social Work from The University of Toronto. Prior to this, she obtained a Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Sociology degree from McMaster University. Alexandra has experience treating individuals with depression, anxiety, kidney disease, palliative and end of life care, and other mental health issues. She has extensive hospital experience, both inpatient and outpatient, as well as working with seniors in a nursing home. Alexandra also worked as a crisis counsellor, assisting individuals and families through a variety of crisis situations. She has worked with a range of populations, including individuals with multiple co-morbidities, suicidal ideations, renal failure, individuals initiating life sustaining hemodialysis treatment and individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. She offers a wide range of therapeutic modalities: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solutions-Focused Therapy. She also offers crisis intervention and grief counselling.

Nicole Kristensen is a Registered Social Worker with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from McMaster University. She has worked with a wide range of clientele over the course of her career, including individuals living with a variety of mental health and medical diagnoses, including depression, anxiety, concurrent disorders, traumatic brain injuries, and chronic pain. 

 

Nicole is committed to honouring each person’s unique journey and she focuses on providing a person-centered and strength’s based approach to therapy. Nicole’s therapeutic approach draws upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness Based treatment modalities. Nicole is also a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional with experience providing career counselling services. 

 

Nicole is  in  good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). Nicole is currently completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree at Yorkville University

Linda is a clinical therapist and a registered social worker with over 25 years of  experience working with children, families and individuals as an agent of support and guidance.

She draws from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach for each individual and situation. She is an active therapist, combining experience, education, creativity, and sense of humor with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling. Amongst her areas of expertise are child welfare, high conflict marriage, parent-child conflict, divorce, separation, post-separation contact, parent alienation, grief, substance abuse, child abuse, anxiety, depression, anger and stress management.  She combines a traditional complementary methodology and holistic approach to offer a highly personalized approached tailored to each client. She makes effort to bring a culturally sensitive approach into her therapeutic space. She is committed to assisting each individual build on their existing strengths and support their goals through a safe and non-judgmental environment. Her goal is to help children, families and individuals reach their highest potential and to help families live more harmonious and happier lives.

Under the umbrella of family-systems approach, modalities used in treatment may include play therapy, CBT, DBT, reunification therapy and mindfulness based interventions, therapy from a strengths-based approached, anti-oppressive and trauma-informed lens while working with children, youth, adults, and families.

Denise Mariani
Registered Psychotherapist

Denise is a registered psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Denise provides individual and family counseling to adolescents ages 12-18, and adults. Her area of focus includes anxiety, depression, chronic pain, PTSD, trauma, self-harm and suicide ideation, substance use, ADHD and Autism, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, and grief and bereavement. Denise focuses on utilizing a variety of therapy modulates with clients, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness practices, and attachment theory. She is currently receiving training for EMDR.

Beata Sims
Registered Psychotherapist

Beata is a Registered Psychotherapist (Q) and holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She has experience working with clients who experience disability, psychosocial challenges, trauma, sexual abuse, PTSD, and addictions. She uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) in her practice.

Amanda Fidler
Registered Psychotherapist

Amanda has over 10 years’ experience as a counselor for individuals challenged with stress, trauma, disability, mental illness, and/or addictions. Amanda has had the pleasure to be a part of thousands of success stories and is extremely passionate about empowering others.  She has a diploma in Educational Assistance Special Needs Support, a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A in Counselling Psychology. Amanda is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). As a professional psychotherapist, Amanda offers a compassionate, safe place to work through the barriers preventing clients from experiencing joy. Amanda has lived and worked throughout the country and has trained around the world. She is a Certified Yoga Instructor and specializes in CBT, EFT, DBT, ACT, Clinical Hypnotherapy and EMDR. Amanda is proud to offer a holistic approach to professional, confidential, client-centered counselling services.

Stephanie Geraci 
Registered Psychotherapist

Stephanie Geraci is a Psychotherapist with Critical Trauma Therapy.  She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology and is a good standing member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. In addition, Stephanie is a 500-hour registered yoga instructor and enjoys incorporating the mind-body connection into her counseling practice. 

 

Stephanie has been trained in CBT, DBT, ACT and EMDR therapy modalities and has worked with adult, youth and families across the GTA in many counseling settings.

Ellasha Cruikshank
Registered Dietitian

Ellasha Cruikshank is a Registered Dietitian with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, and a Master of Science in Foods and Nutrition from Western University. Her Master’s research centered around her passion for improved cancer care through nutrition intervention. She completed her dietetic internship at London Health Sciences Centre which included clinical rotations in oncology, nephrology and hemodialysis, transplant, critical care, diabetes, and general medicine. 


Ellasha has worked with clients in a diverse set of acute and non-acute settings with a particular focus on complex care and chronic disease intervention. She places client-centred care and evidence-based recommendations at the forefront of her practice. Ellasha is a member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO).

Registered Dietitian

Elizabeth is a Registered Dietitian with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Western University. She completed her dietetic internship at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre which included intensive clinical rotations in oncology, nephrology, critical care, and general medicine. 

Elizabeth has worked with patients striving for general health, weight loss, improved digestion, diabetes management, and a host of other goals. She has completed training including Craving Change cognitive-behavioural program designed to help individuals become more aware of their eating triggers. She believes in a food first, client-centered approach and looks forward to helping you move towards your best health.

Stephanie is a Registered Dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario, and a member of Dietitians of Canada. She obtained an Honors Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Western University. She then completed a dietetic internship at London Health Sciences Centre, involving nutritional assessment and treatment in areas such as surgical care, oncology, diabetes education, and nephrology. Stephanie has also helped individuals address digestive concerns and general healthy eating. She takes a client-centered approach to helping individuals reach their nutrition goals.

Christine Tsilas
Registered Dietitian 

Christine Tsilas is a Registered Dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario, and a member of Dietitians of Canada. She obtained an Honors Bachelor of Science (HBSc) degree in Neuroscience, Nutrition, and Psychology from the University of Toronto, followed by an HBSc in Nutrition and Dietetics from Western University. She completed a Master of Science in Foods and Nutrition (MScFN) and Dietetic Internship at Western University, with clinical rotations in the areas of post-acute care rehab, complex continuing care, oncology, diabetes education, and long-term care. 

 

In her previous work as a retail dietitian, she practiced with a focus on nutrition strategies for mental health and brain health. She has also worked in the field of nutrition research, and received the Young Investigator's Award by the Diabetes and Nutrition Study Group in 2014. She currently holds a leadership role in research and dietetic counseling for a comprehensive lifestyle modification program, which focuses on heart healthy eating. She loves helping individuals find eating patterns that work for them, while supporting them in reaching their nutrition and health goals.

Client Services

Kimberly offers over 13 years of experience in the field of acquired brain injury. Her skills include the ability to provide specialized rehabilitation support tailored uniquely to each individual; assisting clients to implement strategies, develop plans, and achieve goals while monitoring clients’ behavioural and cognitive strengths and challenges. Having worked for several years in various capacities, Kimberly is adept at providing one-to-one services for paediatric and adult clients alike. Kimberly implements cognitive remediation and behavioural strategies tailored to each client. Having extensive experience providing advocacy on behalf of families and individuals with ABI, her educational background includes a specialization in brain and behaviour, as well as certifications in a variety of relevant areas including neurorehabilitation, behavioral disorders, and brain injury family intervention. Kimberly has served as a board member on the Niagara Children’s Centre School Board of Directors since 2018 and is currently the Vice Chair. She was recognized with the OBIA Volunteer Award received in 2012.
