Psychotherapy and social work counselling encompass therapeutic interventions aimed at addressing emotional, psychological, and interpersonal challenges. This can include individual, group, or family therapy sessions, focusing on understanding and resolving underlying issues, improving coping skills, and enhancing overall well-being.

  • Eye Movement and Desensitization & Reprocessing

EMDR is a psychotherapeutic approach used to treat trauma and PTSD by processing distressing memories and reducing their impact. It involves bilateral stimulation such as eye movements or tapping to help individuals reprocess traumatic experiences and alleviate symptoms.

  • Cognitive Processing Therapy

Cognitive processing therapy (CPT) is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy used to treat PTSD by helping individuals challenge and change unhelpful thoughts and beliefs related to traumatic experiences. It focuses on understanding the impact of trauma, improving coping strategies, and promoting cognitive restructuring.

  • Dialectical Behavioural Therapy

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a type of therapy that combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices to help individuals regulate emotions, improve interpersonal skills, and cope with distress. It emphasizes acceptance, validation, and dialectical thinking to promote emotional stability and resilience.

  • Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback is a non-invasive therapeutic technique that uses real-time monitoring of brain activity to train individuals to self-regulate and improve cognitive functioning. It can be used to treat a variety of conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Is a psychotherapeutic approach that explores and works with different aspects, or “parts,” of the self to achieve healing and integration. It involves identifying and understanding these parts, building relationships between them, and promoting harmony and balance within the internal system.

  • Mindfulness Based Therapy

Mindfulness-Based Therapy incorporates mindfulness techniques and practices to help individuals become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and sensations, and develop healthier coping strategies. It emphasizes present-moment awareness, non-judgment, and self-compassion to promote emotional regulation and well-being.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is a form of cognitive-behavioural therapy that focuses on accepting and embracing difficult emotions and experiences while committing to actions aligned with one’s values. It emphasizes mindfulness, acceptance, and behavioural change strategies to promote psychological flexibility and resilience.

  • Narrative Therapy

Narrative therapy involves exploring and reframing personal narratives or stories to create new meanings and perspectives on life experiences. It emphasizes the role of language and storytelling in shaping identity, problem-solving, and empowering individuals to rewrite their stories in ways that promote growth and resilience.

  • Solution Focused Therapy

Solution-focused therapy is a brief therapy approach that focuses on identifying and amplifying tour strengths and resources to achieve specific goals and solutions. It emphasizes collaboration, goal-setting, and exploring exceptions to problems to promote positive change and empowerment.

  • Emotional Focused Therapy

Emotionally focused therapy (EFT) is a short-term therapy approach that helps couples and families address relational distress by focusing on emotional experiences and attachment patterns. It aims to create secure emotional bonds, enhance communication, and foster intimacy and connection within relationships.

  • Interpersonal therapy

Interpersonal therapy (IPT) is a time-limited therapy that focuses on resolving interpersonal issues and improving communication and relationship patterns. It explores the connection between emotional symptoms and relational conflicts, with the goal of enhancing interpersonal functioning and social support.

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

CBT is a form of psychotherapy that helps individuals to develop skills and strategies for becoming and staying healthy. It helps with learning to identify one’s distortions in thinking that are a source of stress and then to revaluate them in light of reality. Through CBT, an individual is able to gain a better understanding of their behaviour and subsequently learn strategies to change undesired behaviours.

  • Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy explores unconscious thoughts and feelings to gain insight into current behaviours and interpersonal dynamics. It focuses on exploring past experiences, early relationships, and unresolved conflicts to promote self-awareness, understanding, and psychological growth.

  • Naturopathic Services

Naturopathic services encompass holistic approaches to health and wellness, focusing on natural remedies and lifestyle interventions. This may include herbal medicine, dietary supplements, acupuncture, and lifestyle counselling to support overall well-being and address underlying imbalances.

  • Dietetic Services

Dietetic services involve nutritional counselling and guidance to support overall health and well-being through balanced and personalized dietary plans. This may include assessing nutritional needs, meal planning, weight management, and addressing specific dietary concerns or conditions.

  • Yoga Therapy (Restorative, Somatic, and Trauma Informed)

Restorative yoga is a style of yoga that encourages physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Appropriate for all levels, restorative yoga is practiced at a slow pace, focusing on long holds, stillness, and deep breathing. Somatic yoga is a transformative practice that invites you into a deeper connection with your body, melding movement with mindfulness to unlock a profound sense of awareness and healing. Trauma doesn’t just affect the mind — it can also be held in the body. This means that mind-body practices like yoga can be challenging, and even harmful, for those who have endured any form of trauma — whether acute or complex. Trauma-informed yoga (TIY) describes an approach to the practice that addresses the specific needs and symptoms of trauma survivors.

  • Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. They maintain health for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent disease
